After 11 days in the hospital, Hannah is leaving. When she wakes up, she finds a chocolate pudding cup in the room, and knows that Henry left it for her. She takes this gesture as a sign that she should try to find him and tell him how she feels. Gabby acts as her wing woman and encourages her to follow her heart and do what she thinks is right.
On Saturday, Hannah and Gabby are watching a movie when Ethan calls and asks if he can come by. When he and Hannah are alone, Ethan tells her that he cannot raise another man’s child, and therefore, he cannot be with Hannah. Hannah tells him she understands, and there is an understanding that they both still love one another. They express faith in the possibility that perhaps they will find each other again in the future.
Defying the rules, Hannah explores the hospital in her wheelchair looking for Henry, until she is reprimanded by a nurse. When she thinks the nurse is no longer looking, Hannah tries to escape but is caught and personally escorted to her room.
